Jeeps In The Jungle 3

Our hugely successful event, Jeeps in the Jungle, is making a comeback for the third year in a row!

An exclusively Jeep only event, which includes two days of off-roading, green laning and camping in picturesque Shropshire. The off-road site we have chosen for this event is the same amazing venue as the first two Jeeps in the Jungle events, based in the grounds of Hawkstone Park Follies.

The site is run by a friendly bunch from Ash4x4. There will be three fully qualified members of staff, on handas well as ourselves, to give advice on basic off-road driving skills (times will be announced at the driver’s briefing). There are three wooded areas at the site. Area 1 and 2 of the site are free to roam, you can follow existing tracks or create your own. Area 3 is a driver training area with man made obstacles. The staff are on hand to carry out or supervise safe recoveries. The park offers an array of different obstacles, where you can test your Jeep driving skills.

Families are welcome, dogs on leads only please. We encourage people to not walk around the 4x4 areas of the site as there will be Jeeps moving around. All the site owners ask is to be careful when observing and keep a safe distance from any recoveries. Please also keep an eye on small children as they can be hard to spot from inside a Jeep.

There is a cafe and toilets at the site.

Upon entering the Hawkstone Park Follies grounds proceed in your Jeep through the parking area to the dead end at the bottom of the car park where the event briefing will take place. If there are parking staff at the entrance mention Ash4x4 ‘Jeeps in the Jungle’ 4x4 driving event.

Every driver will have to do a failed hill start after the driver’s briefing.

Further details

Saturday

On Saturday morning there will be a taster session at Hawkstone park, then in the afternoon/early evening you can enjoy driving Shropshire's best green lanes. We will provide you with legal green laning routes in the nearby area. Please limit the groups to 5-6 Jeeps max, we urge everyone to adhere to the unwritten rules of green laning in the UK, please tread lightly and leave no trace.

Sunday

On Sunday you can enjoy a full day exploring Hawkstone Park off-road site, including a ‘Punch Hunt’ competition..

What is a ‘Punch Hunt’ you ask? It’s a fun competition organised by the guys from Ash4x4. There will be numbered punches/stamps set out around the site. A card with corresponding numbers will be attached to your wing mirror. Upon finding a punch, you simply get your wing mirror close enough to punch the corresponding number box on the card. Jeeper who collects the most punches will be the winner.

During our first JITJ we saw the very first vehicle to collect all 20 punches at Hawkstone. The winner was Victor and Lexy driving a stock Jeep JT Gladiator Rubicon.

Camping

For this event we chose a local family run campsite - Bramblewood Caravan Park. If you would like to camp please book separately by contacting the campsite directly. Mention ‘MJUK Jeep event’ whilst making your booking as we have space reserved. Camping available Friday through Sunday inclusive.
